What is going on in our town?

At a recent Red Hook PTA meeting I am told that the subject of whether or not the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America should be allowed to be said in Red Hook schools was brought up.  I understand that this issue was supported by only ONE vote.  What is going on in our town?  Why would any one be against Pledging to the country we live in and gives us our freedom?  By the way should we be pledging a flag of some other country??  I think not.

I was stunned to hear that even ONE person would consider removing one of the POSTIVE acts still allowed in our education system that encourages our youth to RESPECT and HONOR their/our country. The country which allows that ONE VOTE of negativity to be heard.
I would pray that the person who suggested this negative act against the USA, contemplate the very country they are currently living and thriving in.
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."...I say AMEN!
